Alice's Story

Alice

“ I used to cycle on the road when I was younger, I had a tricycle then and everyone would stare. ”

I’m 78, I’ve lived in Enfield for about 50 years.  I don’t have a lot of complaints I just grumble.  I used to cycle on the road when I was younger, I had a tricycle then and everyone would stare.  I would cycle all the way to Cheshunt.  I don’t feel confident doing that now. I used to drive but I haven’t driven for a few years.

“ With cycling I'm able to move about a lot and more quickly. ”

Read Karen – Inclusive Cycling's story

Cycling helps me to build up my legs a bit more, especially as I’m getting older. It helps me build up my strength, which I think is important. I’m fortunate this place is so local, it’s convenient. I found out about Inclusive cycling as a result of doing Tai-Chi lessons which are also held in this park. I think I am one of the most faithful ones here, I come here all the time; sun, rain or shnow, although that hasn’t happened yet when I’ve come cycling.
